The History of Maruo Trading Company
The Maruo Trading Company was established by Hideo Nakamura in 1958, and specializes in trading in chemicals, nonferrous metals, machines, food products and general merchandise. The company offices are located in the Kayabacho area of Nihonbashi, Tokyo, and Maruo has had a long working relationship with Mizuho Bank (formerly The Nihon Kangyo Bank).
Although Maruo’s main businesses were initially focused on the export of machines and general merchandise, since the 1970’s, its import businesses have also been growing, and now the import of food additives and machines is an important component of Maruo’s portfolio.
